Welcome...

Kingsmarsh Bed and Breakfast is part of our family run farm, Rowley Hill at Kingsmarsh. We have lovely views of the Welsh mountains to the West and the Bickerton Hills to the East. We are ideally situated for travel to Chester or for discovering the lovely landscapes of Wales. Kingsmarsh is an hour from Manchester airport and 45 minutes from John Lennon airport, Liverpool.

Our farm is a working family farm which has dairy heifers. There are always calves of varying ages to have a look at and they take kindly to having their photographs taken!

We provide our guests with a traditional farmhouse breakfast cooked on our traditional kitchen stove with produce sourced locally.

Evening meals can be provided offering the best in homecooking using seasonal and local produce.

Kingsmarsh is the area the farm is situated in approximately half a mile from our local village of Farndon. Kingsmarsh gets its name from being a ‘Kings sanctuary’ in medieval times. Ths meant that anybody trying to avoid the law could stay in the area for 1 year and 1 day if they were able to build a shelter for themselves without the use of iron or nails!

The village of Farndon is on the Welsh border with the River Dee running through it. Through the village, to cross the Dee there is a sandstone bridge, built in the mid 14th Century, once over the bridge you will find yourself in Holt, North Wales.
